Working on Sanaa’s Animation.
Now was the time to work on another big element of the project, the animation.
I was pleased with the MoCap applied to my model, but also knew what had to be corrected. Once again, I tried to work on the arms position during the animation as they did not work well originally. I had a few attempts to apply another layer to the animation and key farming just the arms (each in a separate layer).
The result I have achieved is not perfect but presents a huge improvement to the way arms of the model move during the animation.
This task seemed to be not that difficult at first, but the more time I spent working on this adjustment, the trickier it became.
I have accidentally messed up the animation I was happy with, and, therefore, I had to start all over again.
In the end, I corrected the skin weights again, and touched the animation one more time.
It looks fine, but I guess that if I had more time, I would work on amending the movement more as Sanaa’s legs would also need some adjustments.
The last bit I did before rendering the scene was adjusting the light and adding the ground, so the animation of my character was more visible.
