Back to Modelling. Combine.

After adding the animation to my character, I noticed that, apart from the mentioned in my previous entry arms issue, there are some mistakes with elements I attached to the model.   

At first, just the main geometry was animated, the rest stayed in their position (eyes, lips, earrings).  

A quick fix to that was to parent the eyes to the head bone so they become the head’s dependants and will only move when the head moves.

I did that (even though I was pretty sure I did the exact same thing previously). I did the same with a couple of earrings and a mouth that I have modelled. 

Next, I tested it out. Unfortunately, it did not work at all. At first glance, all looked good, but as soon as the character turned over and then fell on to the ground, the earrings and lips were incorrectly placed. Just eyes stayed in their right position. 

I then decided to open a separate scene with my model without the rig and work on the model before applying anything on to it. After correcting positions of the extras on Sanaa’s head, I combined all the elements into one geometry.

Thanks to that everything turned into one piece I could rig and animate my character, again.
