Shotcut
After successfully completed rendering I had a collection of PNG files as a base for creating a video file. For this very last task of my project, I had to use a video processing software.
During our last class we were introduced to a free, open-source video processing application called Shotcut. I downloaded and installed it. Next, I watched several online video tutorials to make myself familiar with this platform. Especially useful and approachable was this one, explaining how to convert images to a video, which was exactly what I had to do.
I played around with Shotcut and created several short videos and exported them as MP4 files as that was required for the Holiday Destination project format. I created various versions of the video, from the very fast one (1 frame per picture), through the medium pace one, to the almost slow motion one (8 frames per picture).
My project has been accomplished! I went from getting to know Maya, through modelling and texturing, animating and rendering all the way to creating the actual video file. It has been quite a journey.
